Diabetes 1

  • #1

Good evening, I have a 10-year-old girl who has type 1 diabetes for over a year. I can't get over the thought that I made her sick, that she has diabetes because of me. Before she was diagnosed, it was a period of 6-7 months in which I was always sad upset and cried often because of some problems, and I think the girl was loaded with my negative emotions and that led to the current situation. In the family we do not have cases of diabetes of any kind. Did I make my little girl sick?

That train of thought is wrong! Diabetes is a metabolic problem. A wrong diet can of course have an influence. But not the way you did feel. Your feelings and emotions do not cause diabetes in your child
